From August 19th to September 30th, gastronomy enthusiasts will have the pleasure of discovering a unique Nippo-Mediterranean culinary experience in the heart of Marseille.
A Nippo-Mediterranean fusion cuisine
During this "Nippo-Mediterranean" Pop-Up at Château Beaupin, Chef MOTODA offers a fusion of Franco-Japanese cuisine, combining the culinary influence of the Mediterranean with his Japanese expertise. He uses local and regional products to create unique dishes such as Nikkei Seabass Ceviche, Melon, Blackberry, Shiso, Rice Vinegar, and Yuzu or
Ancient Tomatoes, Peach, Umè Vinaigrette, Garlic Cream, and Shiso.
A wonderful blend of Mediterranean generosity and Japanese gastronomy.
Food lovers will have the pleasure of choosing from a selection of dishes offered by the Chef in the spirit of "Isakaya" ("Japanese Tapas Bar").

Meet Japanese Chef ISAMU MOTODA
Originally from Kumamoto, in the FUKUOKA region of Japan, Chef ISAMU MOTODA has a passion for fusion cuisine and a long history with French gastronomy. After working in French patisseries in Japan, he took off to settle in France in 2008 and worked in renowned restaurants in Paris and Burgundy, where he developed his love for French gastronomy. After the successful opening of the fusion restaurant ISSA in Paris 5th (@bistro_issa), and serving as the head chef at SŌMA (@somma_paris3) & Les Enfants du Marché (@lesenfantsdumarché) in Le Marais, he continues his quest to open a new Franco-Japanese restaurant in the capital.
He travels and learns in search of eternal inspiration, constantly evolving his cuisine. This summer, Chef MOTODA sets up his kitchens and embarks on a new culinary adventure, "Nippo-Mediterranean," at Château Beaupin in Marseille.
